    The 'Buy Now' buttons from paypal use a form submission. To use a text link you will need to remove the image (input type="image") and add in a text link, then let javascript submit the form...

    Remove this...
    <input type="image" src="" border="0" name="submit" alt="Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!">

    Add this in place of the image...
    <a href="#" onclick="javascriptubmitform()">Your text link text</a>

    Then add this just above the form...
    function submitform() {

    and finally give the form a name...
    <form action="" method="post" name="send">

    Hope you make sense of it!

    yes...makes perfect sense.

    there's also another way to do it. paypal describes how to build a URL with all the neccessary variables.

    your method is easier because you dont have to learn about all the variables but i wonder if there are any tradeoffs. security, etc...

    No tradeoffs - unless javascript is disabled in the browser! Security remains the same.
