There was a huge discussion about that awhile ago... I remember KarlZimmer (you might want to do a search on the username) saying it would be better (and cheaper and more redundant) do use 5 Tier1 providers at 100mbps over Internap 500mbps... Personally, I agree, it's better to use several diverse providers over just Internap (but that's my $0.02..)
InterNAP servers cost more because InterNAP bandwidth costs more. You might see a slight performance improvement, but it's not likely that anyone else will really notie, as long as your other option also has a well established network.
Concur Karl, while InterNAP is a solid choice, regardless how many tier-1's power there network, it's still only one line into the building. Therefore it's a viable option to go with several different providers.
depends, how many Megs do you need? Up to 1 GBps, I still think Internap is cheaper.
