    WebHostingCourt.com

Okay... I thought about posting this in the Be careful who you hire thread, but thought better of cracking a joke there...

But (almost) seriously! WebHostingCourt.com is an available domain! Perhaps iNET Interactive should register it, and point it over here, as so many "Trials by your peers" take place here...

Haha that's actually a somewhat decent idea you could put a link on your site like "conflicts settled in webhostingcourt.com, a trial by your peers" or something similar...

I'm glad someone else sees the ironic humor of it!

Think about it though, with the state of the industry, the populartity of WHT, and the "trials" that seem to take place here all the time...

And there are quite frequently discussions of guilt, innocence, admissibility of evidence in a "court of law"... People really do get tried here!! And in many cases, the results can make or break a business!

Hmmmm... Maybe a new forum? "Web Hosting Trials" Bizarre!!

I think the largest problem (which is also a problem in the real court of law) would be repudiation.

Email / IM / IRC / etc is exceptionally hard to prove unless you have a well established and proffessionally managed system (email log/auditing, corporate IM logging server etc).

This instance didn't happen in the most recent case but, what would happen if linuxguy simply denied all the charges and claimed all the transcripts produced were fake?

How would one prove them true?

I think this probably is the larger problem. Instead of WebHostingCourt give me a secure, audited, logged, and verifiable means of conducting business conversations over the web, there's a better solution.

It was just registered last night, The Dude, and nameservers are still pointing to namecheap's default nameservers, and DNS is likely still propagating.
