Red face What is your definition of Success?

I just want to know what you think personally is success in your standards... career, family, friends, marriage? whatever....

And do you think you have already attained it?

Just want to know from other people's perspective...

Business: Not rich. Not Poor. You can live comfortably with enough time to do what you love, either for profit or for fun.

Friends: A small circle that is trustworthy to a fault. They're not afraid to call you on something if they know you're fooling yourself. And you trust them enough to not be offended.

Marriage: A partner you can see 24 hours a day but never tire of.

Most of all it's not wealth or monetary success per se. Just overall contentment and inner peace.

    Happiness...

To be greater than content with what you've accomplished and what you stand for.

    You read my mind.

I already have the friends thing. 3 best friends who i would take a bullet for and they would do the same. We are like a small family.

Meet your objective in your laid out business plan? so that you can set another goal for achievement.

ENsure you are not buried by work. Social life and participating in the lounge forum as often as advertising in the advertising forum.

Well I think such a balance should be consider a success (esp. if it can be sustain for years).

    Success?

    One word describes it;
    Happiness.

If you're happy, then you succeeded.

A lot of rich people are unhappy - I do not class these as successful people.

A lot of 'not so rich' people are happy, I class these as successful.

Of course, there's a happy medium, and i'm not saying all right people are unhappy, or vice-versa.. the above is just my theory.

    To expand on Simon's point,

Success is getting what you want.

Happiness is wanting what you get.

Happiness. If you're happy with your life and what you have achieved then you are successful in all aspects.

And I see that others have already beaten me to this one

if you are continuously happy, as in content with what you are/have/will be, you never move forward or do anything else. arguably, this is not attainable for a human, except after a lobotomy.

life is full of ups and downs, that's the beauty of the whole thing. smiling and making others smile - this is the real success, in terms of a successful life. this extends to making a quality product, satisfying a client's needs with a good service etc in your professional/business life.

quite a few years ago, people rarely saw me sad. some have suspected i was drugged. i was just *successful* at being cheerful most of the time.

Have a positive impact on as many people in this world as I can.

Honestly, that's what I've come down to. Make money. Lots of money. Enjoy life. And then change lives with the money and abilities I have.

The last one IMO is the most joyful experience.
