    style question about visited links...

    This should be a quick and easy question, but I'm drawing a blank for some reason...

    Say I setup css with specific colors and attributes for links. I want to maintain the hover (mouse over) characteristics even on vistited links.
    Below is an example of what I have now for a particular class. Can you tell me what to add to keep visited links from appearing visited and losing their style?

    For example:
    Code:
    /* menu row one */
    .menurowone { font-size: 11px; color:#cccccc; font-family: verdana, tahoma, arial;  }
    .menurowone a:link { color:#555555; text-decoration:none; }
    .menurowone a:hover { text-decoration: none; color:#ff0000; }
    .menurowone a:visited { color:#555555; font-weight:none; text-decoration:none; }
    TIA,
    Jason

    Try adding a line that reads something like this:
    Code:
    .menurowone a:visited:hover { text-decoration: none; color:#ff0000; }
    Place that above both your existing "visited" and "hover" lines.

    Remove:

    .menurowone a:link { color:#555555; text-decoration:none; }
    .menurowone a:visited { color:#555555; font-weight:none; text-decoration:none; }

    -------------------------------------------

    Combine them into one line:

    .menurowone a,.menurowone a:visited { color:#555555; text-decoration:none;

    Remember people, the recommended order for CSS-styled links is:

    Code:
       a:link {}
       a:visited {}
       a:hover {}
       a:active {}
