If I stat a webhosting site, I want to start out using free payment processors, in case I don't make many/any sales. Paypal has been recommended. I just wanted to know how easy it is to set up something that will make the clients able to submit there information, and money to my account. Can anyone tell me how to do it? ( I don't have a paypal account yet)
Also. I am in Canada, and would select that for my country when I sign up for paypal. Obviously, I use Canadian dollars to buy things around here. So I want Canadian money. Will Paypal automatically convert the money from US Dollars to Canadian Dollars?(If the client is in the United States of course)
Sorry I saw the Canada part too late. Well I was reading another thread in this forum that Paysystems was not accepting new applications right now. I am not certain if that is true or not.
They offer merchant accounts as well as third party processing. I would find out what both would cost you & what paypal would cost you. Sit down - do a spreadsheet to see how long it would take you to re-coup your investment. And yes - Paypal would convert for you I beleive
I am not certain what the terms might be (if they are different for each country) but read what the difference(s) are. The Business Account would probably suit you better in the long run. Compare the difference(s) with the discount rate as well.
I think if I ever do sign up, I will sign up for the business account. I just read a little but about both accounts, and the business account allows you to accept credit card payments. I will probably end up just getting US dollars and getting them converted at a bank or something if it isn't possible for the money to automatically be converted.
