Are they paying clients or free hosting? What is your website?

Right, even Dot5Hosting which was one of the most successful business in this industry didn't get that. Only one that got it is probably 1&1 USA when they launched their USA offers...

Well then I don't understand why. Since I did increase my prices (which did not drop the sign up rates) my offers are average and other companies buy advertising, too. I don't think 1&1 had only 150 clients in the first two months. I would rather expect they had like 5000 or something because just upon getting into business they had ads in magazines and stuff... I think I'm not doing bad for the beginning but don't think I'm doing better than 1&1.

The correct answers are:
long enough and enough clients to keep me in the business.

Hi,
I am afraid I am the worst one. I am in hosting business for one year, spending more than $300 in a paid-per-click search engine. However, I only have about 25 clients.
I am going to sell my small hosting company now......
Regards

Well, the important thing is that you tried. If you aren't happy with your progress than leaving the industry is a good move.

Ive read on previous threads that taketo spends alot on his advertising alot, so he's spending money and he's Earning Money! he is following the simple business philosophy, many hosts when start up dont have money to advertise, if you have 5-600 $ a month for advertising at startup it can really do you very well. You can expect to lose some money a few hundreds in trial and error, but hey thats part of it.
