    HD has no space

    hello,

    I run a df command

    /dev/sda7 23% /
    /dev/sda1 33% /boot
    /dev/sda5 2% /home
    none 0% /dev/shm
    /dev/sda6 4% /tmp
    /dev/sda2 99% /usr
    /dev/sda3 3% /var

and i used 99% of /usr is it possible to free some space from it? What should I clean? And how?

I am using linux 9 and cpanel.

you can find a directory in /usr that is eating up a lot of files and then create like a /home/usr or such and then move that dir to home then symlink it from home to the place it was in /usr

like if i find /usr/share/bla is using 400 megs.. i do this for an example

    mv /usr/share/bla /home
    ln -s /home/bla /usr/share/bla

so you have taken the 400 megs from /usr and moved it to the home partition.. but it still looks like its in /usr

    check

    /usr/local/apache/domlogs

and see if you see any large log files.
rm xxxx.net (the logfile is usually the site)
touch xxxx.net (this creates a empty file)
