It helps to sell yourself when you are addressing the issues to the person! With some market knowledge you can do it better by differentiating yourself from the competiton if you get a chance! You can also develop trust and show that your customer service is friendly! Might not help in short term but it is great for long term, you can also ask them for their email and later follow them up by saying re: to our talk on xyz day im just following up to see if you have any further questions or if you require any sorts of help, we would be glad to knock off first 15 days or 30 of your hosting if you choose to act soon
I just wanted to clarify to keep the thread on track. I am hoping those that have implemented Live Chat will share how long they have had it in operation and a rough concept of how their actual sales were affected.
I am aware of the potential advantages of being able to interact with prospects online, but what are the real world implications on how it converted site traffic?
I would like to see the effect of Live Chat alone. I am assuming that the traffic coming to the site is targeted, and that the site has had a solid design/layout.
Live chat is great for branding and cementing things like 24/7 support in the mind of the potential customer. If you offer it, and utilise the live chat ONLINE icon on your site 24/7, it increased your value as a true 24/7 support provider. What you are essentially doing is decreasing the risk to the customer to sign up with you, as they feel a level of security knowing that someone is actually there 24/7 should something go wrong.
Of course, this is simply an aside relative to the obvious direct benefits that live chat brings, such as your ability to make a sales pitch at point of sale etc.
Our customers really like the idea of our Live Support Service from Help Center Live. All our customer has to do is go to our website and get instant help. The only thing is you have to be able to be online most of the day or else it looks bad.
