Hello all,

Before I made the switch to instabill I had my own order form set up and was manually keying in the info but didn't change it right away however and order came in and went to instabill to key in the info went through a month later have someone contacting me saying that the card was stolen etc.

I traced the ip# back to cable and wireless filled out one of their tickets but when can be done anything?

Also he e-mailed me saying this

shut up, you can try your bs with someone who doesn't
know any better, i've been doing this too long to fall
for little admins trying to scare someone cause they
lost money, but.. lets see, lets break this down...
you have the ip of my wingate proxy... that's
connected to from a rooted edu... on which i remove
all logs, but assuming you can actually find a place
where i ****ed up and left a log, lets say you have my
ip... wait, that's not my ip... it's the ip of the
proxy i use before i telnet in... hmm, ok, so you get
my ip from THAT proxy... so you call the isp... uh oh,
the account isn't legit... but you have the phone
number that dials up... so you reverse lookup the
number and get an address... you'll be getting on my
block, but then when you get to the house, the person
that lives there doesn't even have a computer... their
line has been jacked... oh lord, isn't this getting
annoying ? so now you gotta find out where their line
was spliced... hmm could be in the route box, could be
on the pole, could be on their grey box at the
physical house, could be sliced mid line somewhere...
uh oh, i hope it's not setup on a loop and someone is
meeting on it to dial in..... psssssssshhhhhh
whatever. i've been rootin' ****ing boxes like yours
for 4 years, if you think i'd be stupid enuff to allow
myself to be caught for carding some domain, keep
dreaming... so take your bs threat and stick it, cause
i promise nothing will come of this, and ohhhh it
pisses ya off ;x haha w0rd, peace -dayz

Maybe a little note to the FBI wouldn't hurt...

Seconded. Forwarding all the info you've got (logs, receipts, everything) to the FBI may help in some way and they should be able to advise you as to what you can do.

From his delightful prose, this guy also gives himself away as a wire-head, not a programmer. Clowns like this are easy to catch, if old Uncle takes an interest.

If he used the card for hosting a website, there is nothing you can do but write it off.

BUT you must *try* and file a case against him with the higher authorities (not your local authorities) so that should he be caught one day, they have more evidence to prosecute him on.

try? doubt whether you will find anybody interested.

Here's where you find 'em...

I love the way they dress, by the way.

What a fine example of a complete jackass. Overall, report 'em, and never read that message again unless you have to. It will just annoy you. Let's just all hope he gets hit by a bus tomorrow.

I'm surprised at you, Chicken. That was extremely uncharitable... to the bus.

I agree with chicken, but think of the ideas this guy has. Look at the precautions he has taken in executing the thing. Just think of the knowledge this guy has on how to Hijack a telephone line withot the owners knowing?

I agree this is wrong, but think of the beauty with which he has executed the whole thing.

What I find beautiful is the prospect of his spending around 5-10 years in the can when he gets caught.

Sorry, but there is a certain segment of the population which I feel the rest of us can do without. It isn't that I champion the death penalty for wire tapping, heh. I'm not all that religious, but I do believe in karma. And fast buses

Actually, what I meant was, getting slime like that all over a perfectly nice bus was an unkindness to motor vehicles...
