Backordering - Is this possible?
Hi, I would like to know if there is a service out there that you can check to see if anyone (using the many backordering services out there) is backordering your domain name?
Just would like to know...
u can try to backorder to see if its already taken or not.
it would show at snapnames/godaddy/namewinner/enom but wont at pool
Which service is the best one (highest success rate) with getting domain names?
Well, I tried with expirefish, but after checking the boards....i dont think I should really count on them.
Thanks for the info.
BIG WASTE of money
Yes, Im just now comming to realize that. Its quite ok though.
I have ways of getting it back
you can always ask here before proceeding and taking other people past experience
Well, since it is only $15 bucks, im not too worried about it. I'll just use it towards a domain name that isnt too popular or something. That way I at least get something for the money.
i saw some posts saying expirefish leave the name for a day or 2 after drop date and then catch it.
might consider manual catching it and asking for refund
I'm going after a domain name. It's probably not very sought after. Which service do you recommend?
I'd wait until it expires but I really want it.
Snapnames seems nice, and $69 is within my budget. Pool and enom seems like a risk.
Pool will beat Snapnames any day of the week. Use all three if you really want it. Namewinner and GoMommy too.
Someone else is using snapnames, so now I have to go with pool.com
Serves me right for waiting for the last minute (the domain is now in deletion period).
try enom drop club too, they are doing good job recently.
so when is it recommended to place a backorder? as early as possible? i think i remember reading somewhere on here that you should wait until the day it drops to prevent drawing attention, but perhaps i misread or misremembered. will backordering before a name drops or expires "advertise" it and bring competition to it? what is the strategy here?
