Miniclip and other games.. but not pointing to miniclip.com
I know I'm not the only victim of a network that bans many sites, including gaming sites. Well I can spend hours doing nothing when I've finished work and I love playing flash games. www.miniclip.com has excellent games but it's almost always targetted by network filters and won't allow you to go to it.
Soo, the point I'm trying to make is that I added some of the best games from miniclip to my webspace since it's not filtered as a gaming site. By the way, no copyright problems with putting the games on my site.
I've had to do the same thing with MiniClip when I was at another job - I have a web proxy setup on a server (pass protected using htaccess) that I used to get around those filters, but I also tried what you did. Just wondering, what filtering system is blocking MiniClip for you, and under what category(ies).
Oh lord I've never even paid any attention to the name of the filter.. All I see is the "blocked website" page and I press the back button. It always says categorized as "games", "e-games", or something else.
I've thought about using a proxy as you did but figured this was easier. Plus, I can choose which games are actually fun and which aren't.
