I am leasing a few servers with ServerMatrix currently for some projects. They are severely under-loaded, as in I have tons of capacity and use maybe 2 GB of my 1000GB allotted.
I need these servers for some special projects, so I'm happy enough with the setup.
However - I thought of hosting a few sites as well on them. I have both Win2k3 and RH3. RH3 has cpanel.
I am going to offer this mostly to friends/colleagues etc and not on a general basis, so I dont need a 100% SLA etc.
I am however going to charge a little for it and would like it linked to my CDG merchant account. I would also like signup to be automated as much as possible like a 'real' webhost so I dont need to do a bunch of manual setup work every time.
Ie - people sign up from my page, they get their stuff setup in cpanel and they get put into billing etc.
The question is - what would be easiest way to do this be?
What extra software do I need? Is there a cpanel addon that'll make it into a complete webhost site including signup, billing and perhaps troubletickets etc?
Checkout Drams. That is plug and play and takes care of the end to end solutions. The software IS the website and ordering system. So it is the front end. Then it will connect to eNom and perform the registrations when payment is received. Then it will connect to WHM and build the accounts for you. Almost no work on your part except to approve the requests as they come in. If you choose to put it on autopilot (which most people seem to dislike) it will take care of the registration and hosting account with no admin intervention.
