Anyone by chance know how long they've been down and any clue when it will be back up?

That's really gotta put a damper on things. I doubt he's willing to voice why but, it would be interesting to see why this happened.

Zoinks.... over 9 hours and no ETA ? That's nuts.
I hear alot of people saying "EV1 unplugged me" - wonder what notification they give prior to just pulling the plug?

My fantastico was running extremely slow, often timing out. Once i logged into the admin and changed the licensing server it seems to be a bit faster. Hope they get back up soon.

Go to your Fantastico admin panel. The browser's URL field will look like this:
http://domain.com:2082/frontend/$THEME/fantastico/admin/admin.php
Replace admin.php at the end of the URL with decoder.php and hit enter.
IF YOU GET ERRORS, do this:
rm -f /tmp/ixed*
then re-try.There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.

This is crazy though to make OUR fantastico software availability relies on Fantastico server availability. This is like saying we offer Fantastico but you can use it only when the programmers server is on. Imagine if this is the case with cpanel !!!
Fantastico should not need to be connected to your main server at all times. Instead, make it do a check once a day to ensure the license is valid....etc.
Second if first server is down, why doesn't fantastico automatically finds the best server to connect to and establish a permanent connection from the beginning.Reliability • Performance • Integrity

tamouh,
fantastico auto-switches to the second server if the configured one is not available. The problem for slow loading was not this, but rather the delayed "host not found" answer. After this disaster we will certainly review the license check method. Something we definitely not want is our customers suffering due to technical problems on our side.

Hey Kosmo,
Do you, by chance, have the IP address for the secondary server? We pushed out a new build of NetAdmin last night and it was missing fantastico because the fantastico download failed.
Hope you can get things back online soon!
