for instance example.com is hosted by a reseller. but that reseller has no nameservers; so they are using the parenting server's nameservers.

when i perform whois lookup for example.com, the parenting server's nameservers will show up. so how can i find out the name (or the url) of the reseller?

is there a way that will definately work for any domain?

depends on the registrar, because some registrars add the reseller info on the whois info, some doesn't
