    Why is my browser confused?

It's like it's asking if The Dude is really the one that posted.

Considering that Avant Browser and MyIE2 are just mere skins of IE, when you get down to it, it's still IE.

Try Firefox if you're nuts about tabbed browsing as I am.

Firefox does tabbing. And it's more secure than IE.

I've always known there was something mysterious about "The Dude". This proves it.

    Maybe he's copyrighted.

Because at the same time it was adding the question mark to the end of his name, it was replacing the in the footer as well.

It's displaying everything normally for now though.

I had similar "accidents" with Avant Browser in the past, but never one like this. Strange...

    Well, check that out.

That version was "The Dude 2001", so I guess he has evolved. Since he no longer has a model number, we must assume there have been many previous versions of him, and each generation being tweaked and refined, until he finally became the technological masterpiece we see before us today...."The Dude".

Actually, when that link was posted, the member's name was 'The Dude'.

As you can see, 'The Dude' hasn't posted since 2001.

We took the liberty of renaming 'The Dude', to 'The Dude 2001'.

Then we renamed 'The Dude ' to 'The Dude'.

Now there should be no confusion between The 'Dude 2001' and 'The Dude'; like there was between 'The Dude' and 'The Dude '.

I just hope my browser doesn't name him 'The Dude?' again.

I'm going to guess that something is wrong with your encoding because the active 'dude' really has an underscore/space after his user name and it doesn't recognize the ending for some reason or another.
Don't look for a way out.
