Looking for someone who has experience with Whois.Cart
I have a design for the cart, I just need the script to be built in to the site including customizing.
The ideal candidate will know how too:
• Setup and install whois.cart
• Change the look to my design and css
• Modify payment options to reflect monthly equivalent
• Integrate Directi with script and web site
• Accept PayPal and/or web space for payment.
• Available for work ASAP - would like to get this done in the next couple of days.
• Must have MSN to discuss details with.
on the risk of pointing out the obvious, if you want a script that looks like that, the best place to start is with a script that looks like that. Whois.Cart()™ is great, it gives users what they want. The actual hosts often want more from it, but you have to remember, the script is built with their own take of how hosting should be sold. You can only edit a thing so far until it breaks.
what you are asking is beyond your cart really. You can do some really nice things with the cart, we still have loads of style ideas for laying the cart out. we more or less hold the record for taking the cart to the limits so far and we always aim to push that and give a better presentation than the last. but to compare your sample with the cart isn't fair when it's two different scripts. The other one looks more like an exagerated modernbill, but I'm not sure about that yet.
if experiance is all you have to offer, maybe concider that I do this professionally? We are recommended by the whoiscart developers because we do a good job. No disrespect but There are not many that know the cart like I do. Every cart I've seen that anyone else has attempted has had problems here and there. We guarantee our work, because it's simply what we do.
Plus, if you don't use whois.cart()™ live yourself, why would anyone trust you to edit their own? All our previous clients want samples and demos.
Lochie, You do it professionally? what is that supposed to mean?
Just because you registered a web site and put information about your work online doesn't make you any more professional than anyone else offering the same service.
IMO all your skins look the same, you can clearly see that it is whoiscart, basicly with some new colors and images. You call yourselves the worlds #1, I would like to doubt this after I complete my cart.
The products page goes to a cart that is not skinned, the support page goes to osTicket which is also not skinned. The demo center link doesn't exist. On top of this it doesn't look as if your running a legal business, your not registered.
I apreciate your service just like anyone else, I would like to talk with you after I finish the cart, then we'll see.
lol, dude, never judge a book by it's cover. because all our carts look the same we can't make it look different? We give clients what they ask for. At the end of the day I listed a few of the latest ones we have done.
Other parts we have done that you cannot see unless you actually submit an order is profile streamlines. through site hacks, free domain hacks, email templating etc... so please, don't tell me we are not capable of the work, we are more than capable of doing custom work to the extent that the cart will allow us to.
We also invented the ording assistant and we were the first ones to introduce the progress bar which goes with most of our carts.. these are the most popular requests. Our clients know that it is possible to move the cart about a fair bit.. it's been done, it can be done again.
Our site is less than a few weeks old, and was done in 1 day and put on hold while we did some work for clients, and modern bill clients. Plus the site is more aimed for the new cart that is due for release. We are not in a hurry for finishing the site since the new cart isn't out yet.
We are professional designers, we ARE a registered UK company. Clearly you jumped the gun without asking or looking for the facts. the whoiscart designer site is part of the L&M Web Development Network.
Isn't that like saying "just because all our work looks crap, doesn't mean we can't do something good" - in which case if you can do better and different, why don't you?
You build a site in 1 day? That's like casting a net with holes in it, do you want to look like a knock up or professional? Everytime I criticise someone about their work or their web site I always get the same thing, "it was done in a day" "only spent a few hours on it"
You are not a registered company, you CAN legaly do work under the business name L&M however you must register your business name as a 'fictitious name' simply to save paper work which you have not done.
I've not got all day to argue, clearly you don't have a clue about UK law, you don't read threads, and you certainly don't have much knowledge of the topic. But yet you argue on. I'll let you continue your rants, Not many people come here to read people arguing and that's certainly not why I signed up here.
I suggest you look into the facts about UK registered business law before talking about it further. I'm not a limited company, as long as I accept payment from clients to L&M Web Development, it doesn't matter what the name on the site says. As long as it clearly states its part of the L&M Web Development Network. I am IR registered, and that is all that is required.
It's not my place to comment on why whoiscart does not get myself to do their own cart. I can't just jump up and say 'I'm doing it'. If they are happy with it then that's fine, infact that's great. It's really pointless them paying to get it done up when people want it to match their own site anyway. It's more of a stock sample, that's how I look at it anyway.
