Question

cari.net

Wondering a couple things about cari.net's cogent network:

What is uptime like? Anyone have a siteuptime or similar to share?

What could I realistically push? If I could even reach about 6.5Mbps reliably that would be a great deal for the price.

I want to put some shoutcast on the server, so even a few hours of downtime a month wouldn't be that bad. I read mixed reviews about support and abuse policies, but as I'm just throwing shoutcast on this I'd hope it isn't going to be a major issue.

I don't have any experience with cari.net, but they are local around here. I was planning to colo with them but cogent wasn't really what I was looking for. In other words, this might help you out:

Yes, I've searched and read those threads. None of them really answered what I was asking. Namely, an approximate uptime figure for normal situations and what you can actually push through their 10Mbit. A few people gave comments on how much they could push, but I was hoping for more.

Their pretty decent. The techs are clueless, but they're always around if you can instruct them on how to properly push buttons.
