    PHPsuexec and Path to netPBM

    PHPsuexec and Path to netPBM

How do I know if I have them on my dedicated server and how do I find the path where they are located. I'm trying to upgrade my cPanel to use xController and Fantastico..
    Thanks very much in advance.

First here is what to do to check if you have netpbm installed:

Log into ROOT WHM, scroll down the left hand side until you see "Install an RPM". Click that link and there will be a list of a ton of RPM's.

Scroll down and find these 3 entries:
    netpbm
    netpbm-devel
    netpbm-progs

If they are listed with (reinstall) next to them, that means they are already installed. If they are not installed, click on each one and install it.

Path to netpbm on my server with latest STABLE cpanel is /usr/bin

If you haven't rebuilt apache with phpsuEXEC then chances are you most likely don't have it. If you want it, log into you root WHM, find "Update Apache" on the left hand side.

When your in that section read what it says carefully, it states that the options checked below do not necessarily represent what you have installed, it is just the default options.

If you leave items unchecked, that are currently built in to apache, you will lose them. My servers use the default setup, so to install phpsuExec all I have to do is add a checkmark to that checkbox and re-build apache.

    Hope this helps.

If you have installed it with rpms, try

    rpm -q netpbm

If it shows up the package, you do have it installed.

It should typically be in /usr/bin as mentioned above.
