Thread: Plesk 7 backup?

    Plesk 7 backup?

hey, I have a sever with plesk 7 and about 20 clients on it.
The psadump utility take FOREVER to run and create a tar file.
I have about 3 gigs of data that it's been taring for the last 45 minutes and in the mean time it shut down all related services such as apache and imap. Downtime like that just isn't acceptable on a regular basis
Does anyone have suggestions on a *better* way to back things up and still be able to restore them easily later?
It doesn't have to be automated but that would be nice.

Try to add the --nostop and --nostop-domain options to the psadump command so it will not stop the services.

We use a custom back up solution but we often use psa dump and restore for migrations and running with --nostop will help.

Yep, tell it to backup whatever you want. You have to admit, it's one amazing piece of code. I wish cpanel would make something like that.
