I have just upgraded to brightstor arcserve backup version 11 from version 9. I have installed it onto windows 2000. I have also tried it on windows xp.

The problem I have is that the database engine keeps stopping.

In the activity log I get error 5110 (the database is no longer available) followed by information logs saying the database engine is shutting down and then the database engine has stopped.

Every time I restart the engine it stops after about 10 minutes. I have searched everywhere for a description of error message 5110 but cannot find any information at all.

Does anybody have any ideas of what might be the problem?
