Hi everyone, my 17th birthday is coming up in 8 days and I want to earn some money with designs I make, I do know photoshop and dreamveawer and own both of them, however I learnt everything online, so noone ever explained me the process of slicing the layout in photoshop and outputting in HTML correctly for all browser compability. So I would like to ask a person who has experience in this field to guide me through the steps via IM (AIM/ICQ/MSN). Well my birthday is the 19th of may and I would be glad if someone could make me such a present .
That's a nice tutorial however it doesn't tell me what am I doing wrong, when I try to input any text in my layout (sliced and exported as images&HTML) in Dreamweaver, the text is deleting the picture so the layout has no longer graphics behind the text. The tutorial you linked to explains the slicing and linking of a nav. bar, but I already know how to do that, what I want to learn is what am I doing wrong, in order to keep the layout intact and input text (or images where needed, such as banners) keeping the background.
Have you made sure that the images are the backgrounds of the cells? Set the images as backgrounds and you should have no problem writing over with whatever text you want.
