Yeah, they are popular, but their prices are pretty high. I mean who would pay a basic price of $12,000 for a pseudo-car? I understand why americans would consider that car funny, their smallest car is the Pinto
Its manufactured in the city I live. Quite popular among women and old people. Cost of acquisition is as high as a small japanese car we get here. I think running cost will also be same as petrol since battery replacement cost also will have to be added to the running cost. If I had money to spare probably I would buy one for fun

thats why the Segway was invented. Just hold it up and jump over those parked cars and park it next to your desk in the office
I can't even stand regular cars, small and cramped and uncomfortable.. I have to drive trucks/SUVs.
Where did you get that idea? SUVs and trucks are usually more cramped than even smaller or mid-sized sedans like the Acura 3.2 TL-S... Even, for instance, in a Lincoln Navigator, which appears to be humongous, it is still very cramped, especially up front.
I get that idea by driving and riding them. The other main factor I didn't mention is I like to be setting up high as opposed to low to the ground. Hard to get used to. An example is my mom's Jaguar. Talk about poorly designed. The emergency brake handle sticks into your leg, uncomfortable. And the way the freakin seat will move around to someone elses preset drives me nuts. I get in and turn on the car and since my mom is very short it will squish me before I can react.
No way you can convince me that my wife's Cavalier or my mom's Jag has more room than my truck.
