Did the www.theplanet.com drop RLX Servers

I am a big fan of ThePlanets TCS offering and have few servers, all of them were RLX serers. But now it looks like www.theplanet.com has droped them. Also it does not look like they are offering large HD any more, some of my servers are 250 GB RAID

If so, I would be curious to know why. The RLX blades look pretty sweet.

Just a guess but it probably has to do with the cost of the rlx blade systems. Those things werent cheap last I checked.

They are not cheap, but you can run a lights out hosting operation with them, just not a budget hosting company.

You won't find blade servers in the budget/low-end $200/month market, not yet anyhow.

As more clone companies start to market and sell blade servers, you'll see the price come down, but with less features obviously.

Cubix makes a blade product, its a PC on a vertical card with a power connection (they call it a blade ), very close in price to stand alone 1U's, but the density isn't that good.

If you want top of the line, enterprise class solutions for business class customers, look at the RLX blades, I'm very impressed by their technology and management applications. Even if they do take 30amps to run a 10 blade xeon cluster .
