I was in my favourite coffee shop today, reading the paper and partaking in some yummy chocalate cake and Earl Grey tea (it's a tough life ), when I got to thinking about all that is going on in the world, and how it tends to drag us down.
Sometimes I really want to escape and forget all the problems of the world. At times they feel overwhelming for me, living, raising a family and trying to get by as best I can.
With the advent of the internet and improved communications technology, it seems we're all made aware of more and more problems from all over the globe, and we get dragged into all that negativity. All that negativity comes into our lives and effects us, in ways we probably aren't aware of.
I know these world events can effect us, and we don't want to have our head in the sand on such issues, but right now ignorance would seem bliss.
To make things worse, we aussies have a federal election coming up and I always feel like by the time the election is finished, I've been 9 rounds with Ali.
Sometimes it's all just too much and I say stuff the world's problems. Right now, I stand up on my little soapbox and proclaim with great ignorance and zest, that I officially don't give a flying rip.
We just finished our last round of voting yesterday. The stockbrokers are having a whale of a time. You go short they go long, if you go long they go short......its just nuts. At the end of the day you will wonder why you were born on this planet. Next the politicians will rip the people off......prices hikes, tax surcharges, more violence, more wars.
I stick to the advice from a shrink: When you walk on the street there are plenty of dogs that will bark at you......just look the other way and keep walking on.
...the problem is cause bad always beats the hell out of good... ...bad can use any mean to accomplish a goal whereas good can not do that, good is considerate, good minds, good is altruistic... ...that's why this world of ours is so much of a better place for ******, mad, selfish, ignorant, aggressive and similar people to live in... ...if you are good, it's plain hard... ...but we should not give up the hope... ...perhaps there are better places in the universe and the good people will just move once...
