I posted a message here about a week or two ago about whether I needed a dedicated server solution. I received many responses that I should go shared hosting. I then received plenty of recommendations. I decided to go with Real Web Host after much research.
I can honestly tell you that Real Web Host has been EXCELLENT!! I would recommend them to anyone. Here's why:
I needed to move 3 domain names to them. Rather than purchasing three separate accounts, Joey at RWH told me to use two addon domains instead. That saved me money.
Two of the three domains had very valuable and active phpBB2 forums with 35+ mb databases of information. This information was critical and if I lost it I would have to kill myself. The problem is that I'm clueless when it comes to computers.
Joey at RWH literally spent 2+ days personally copying my database and making sure all the connections where correct. He even called me to tell me things were all set up. Folks, he spent all day SUNDAY on this. Now THAT is customer service!
I can't thank Joey and RWH enough! If anyone is considering RWH and wants to speak to me about my experience with them, please PM me.

Art, what server are you currently on? I am on Pearl.
I am with the same host and have been very happy with them. They are willing to do whatever necessary to make you happy, and have an awsome response time for all issues. Last, and most importantly (I think), they will really tell you the status of an issue. If there is an issue that has come up, they will tell you wherever they are at on it, wether that is that they just found out about it 10 minutes ago and are working on it, or if they are testing a fix on a development server.
I have been with RWH for about 1 month now and the service there has been EXCELLENT. I signed up on a SUNDAY MORNING and made a screwup with my billing info. I was able to get ahold of Joey and get everything fixed and running with an HOUR! I was very impressed with that. I have one site with music mixes that I create and was having trouble getting them uploaded, he manually moved them from my old host to the new host and actually talked to him on the phone during it to make sure he got the right files. I was very amazed with that level of support. So much so that I recommend this host to my friends now that lok for webhosting. Refreshing change from my previous host (ValuableHost) which was really good and then quickly went downhill around the beginning of this year and from what I last heard... is still in bad shape.

pcgamez registered in Jan of 2002. I wouldn't quite call that a newbie
My post count is also low(I try to keep my posts constructive), but if it helps, I can vouch for Joey and Real Web Host. I started as a reseller through them and I wouldn't be anywhere close to where I am today without them. Absolutely no complaints.
I have been signed up with RWH for about 2 years now. With no major problems, there is really nothing negative I can say about Real Web Host. Their customer support is top notch. I don't know if Joey ever leaves his office because he is always available for help. Joey helps me through all of my stupid questions, even ones not even related to RWH. Needless to say, their servers and pricing is also awesome. I have had nothing but a good experience with Real Web Host.
We currently have several websites with Real Web host and are very pleased. We had been with another web host that was allowing our sites to go down about once a week. Since we switched to Real Web Host they have been very reliable and they have fast customer service.
I have to agree with everyone else about Realwebhost. This was my review from Broadband Reports. I thought I would just add what I have already written.
After doing weeks of research I decided to go with Realwebhost. I did what people on BBR and Webhostingtalk forums suggested. Contact there sales and support and see how fast a response I got. Been in business for 3 years as realwebhost and 4 years more as a reseller.
I signed up on Jan. 17th 2004 got all my setup info about 3 hours later. Wasn't checking email so probably sooner then that. I registered my domain with godaddy.com and it took 20 hours to switch DNS stuff.
Reason I got this site is for personal use. I take a lot of movies of events for our volunteer group and when we go dog sledding. I need a good amount of space and bandwidth. I haven't had much time to put a site together. I put some movies up from a winterfest a couple weeks back.
This is all very new to me and they have been fantastic about responding to noob questions from me. They also have there own support forums on there website which is nice. A pretty extensive FAQ system as well. They post when part of the server get updated like CPanel.
3 days my site got 3GB of traffic and it didn't flinch at all with all the downloads. I was very impressed once I saw all the stats!!
I will update once I have more time to mess around and start doing more work to it. I can't say enough about these guys.
Update - 4/25/04
Realwebhost just got some brand new servers a couple weeks ago and move was pretty flawless couple kinks but nothing major at all. Service has been outstanding so far! One friend signed up and I am managing her site for her.
Update - 6/2/04
I had another friend want a website and had him go through realwebhost as well. I am managing that site as well but haven't done anything to it yet. We are still designing it.
Another friend just transfered his site from powersurge to realwebhost and went very smoothly.
