    * Files after the 2000 file mark don't show up in directories

    Hey Everyone,

I am having a problem with accounts that host over 2000 files each on my server. It seems that when uploading to a site with 2000 files or more, any files over the 2000 mark or any new files will not show up in the directories. Somebody suggested to me that it might have to do with truncated results, but im not 100% sure what that is. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please let me know how to.

I had been running Pro-FTP but just recently switched over to Pure-FTP. It had been doing this when I had Pro-FTP as well.

    Thanks for all the help!

Login to the server via ssh
edit the file /etc/sysconfig/pure-ftpd in your favorite editor

find out the line with "-limitrecursion" and change the values to
    --LimitRecursion 8000:25
    save & close.

    edit the file /etc/pure-ftpd.conf
    limitrecursion 8000 25
    save & close.

    Restart pure-ftpd

I changed it in pure-ftpd.conf but I cant seem to find the control --LimitRecursion in pure-ftpd. If it ok if its not in there or should I add it?

    Thanks for all the help!

Yeah, you would need to add it I guess.

    --LimitRecursion 8000:25
