Yeah, never trust your host to register your domain name- take this from someone who suffered first-hand.
You could use HostQuote to find a suitable host, and there are thousands of domain registrars out there.
My favourite is http://www.ukreg.com but is obviously targetted at a UK market. Every Brit I know uses them though, they are very cool, and used by alot. There is also http://www.regfly.com which are the other domain registrars I use, which are 'OK' really, not great but not bad either.
Yes, there is no such thing as "unlimited", not storage, not BW, nothing. Just to test this, register an account with that kind of host, put a few gigs of movies or whatever there and tell all your friends to download those every day.
Then let's see how unlimited all of that really is
