Well our /tmp folder was filling up so my partner cleared it out before doing research, and he deleted the mysql.sock file, well we were having some mysql problems so we rebooted the box and now im getting Apache failed and bind failed,What is our solution? Is this because of the mysql.sock, and if so how can we fix this?
Is this a WHM/cPanel linux server? Is the /tmp folder deleted or the files in there deleted?

Try safe_mysqld & and see what happens.
If nothing happens.,..
then let me know about your /etc/my.cnf file.
check mysql sectionni that and see the path of mysql.sock.
It should be /var/lib..etc
then go to /tmp
and make a soft link to that /var/lib...
see it it works
