    weird problem

    On my website pound signs are showing up as question marks! Can anyone tell me how to fix this please.

    Change your computer language back to English (United Kingdom), maybe why it's happening when put . Alternatively you can put £ which is HTML for

    To make sure the GBP symbol appears consistently you have to encode it, much the same way as we encode copyright symbols, etc.

    The specific character entity for the GBP symbol is &#163 ; (just remove the space between the 3 and the ; - I think it would have rendered the GBP symbol if I'd have removed the space)

    Edit: Yup, it would have encoded it. See pmoduk2's post above!
