6 nails shot into a man's head. Ratatatatat!

A construction worker had six nails driven into his head in an accident with a high-powered nail gun, but doctors said Wednesday they expect him to make a full recovery.

Doctors say he'll make a full recovery, but his short term memory will be a bit rusty.

(I know, there are a million punchlines for this one... )

    Thats insane..
i am a little bit confused.. the article says:
...since the April 19 accident that left him with 3 1/2-inch nails ...
...Five nails were removed the same day and the sixth...
    so which is it?
    3 nails.. or 6?

You're misreading it. There were not 3 (three) half-inch nails. There were 3.5 inch nails...

When I first heard of the story on the radio today, they reported that the guy shot 6 nails into his own head. If you know how a nail gun works, you'd find it hard to understand.

But from reading the article, my understanding is that he fell off a roof onto a guy who was using a nail gun. As they grabbed onto each other to break the fall, the nail gun went up to the guy's head and started going off. If the nail gun operator had the trigger pressed (which was likely if he was hanging on after being landed on), then every time the poor guy's head made impact with the tip of the nail gun, it would shoot another nail. And if you've ever used a nail gun before, you know that it takes but a couple of seconds to fire off 6 nails.

I only consider the man lucky because they went into his head and not his crotch.

Well it's a good thing you don't read before posting then...

This is so crazy... how can someone possibly survive that? Not one or two, but 6 nails?

Somehow, I wonder how normal he will be if a few went through his brain.
