I want to offer domain registration through my site. I would like all payment details to be handled for me. I want to set the price for the domain... something like enom or dotster. What i don't want to do is pay upfront since the customers are going to be charged directly anyway.
an enom 8.95 a/c for free from someone and use the registry rocket service - you set you prices, you earn commissions, enom handle the registration billing etc - effectively making you areferall affiliate with no money own as they say ...
Do I have to fund my reseller account to have a Registry Rocket site? What does the "exceeds credit limit" error mean?
You do have to have enough funds in your reseller account to cover the cost of the pending transaction through Registry Rocket. It will check their total purchase amount against that of your Available Balance.
If there is not enough, it will return an error indicating the order has exceed the credit limit. While this can be confusing to the client, it does represent your reseller account balance. Typically resellers have funds in their account for their own registrations or renewals, and it's very uncommon that your client will ever see this error.
If they do report it to you, just add funds to your account and their order will process on the next attempt.

nramkr --> I know that in Wildwestdomains.com you don't need to deposite any funds in your account and you will be able to offer domain registeration --> BUT YOU MUST PAY $99.00 A YEAR AS A MEMBERSHIP FEES
As for eNom enom registry rocket
Bashar and othellotech are both right
othellotech is right becuase you can setup a registry rocket site even if you don't have funds at all in your reseller account
Bashar is right too becuse your customer will not be able to register any domain using your registry rocket site until you add enough funds to your enom reseller account
Yes they wil be able to check domains and manage their domains BUT if you don't have enogh funds in your enom reseller account they will NOT be able to register / transfer any domain
