my personal opinion is going with rusko.. he seems very professional about his business. They are using peer1 bandwidth from what i know. I am planning to colcoate with him very soon. My ping to their network is always 10-15 max... its great
We have probadly the largest amount of servers over at CRNC and I can say that they're an excellent copmany to work with. James is pretty cool to deal with especially on the phone. I remember one morning waking his *** up at 5am to reboot a server. He answered the phone, got up, and took care of it.
James is a pretty good person to deal with and you can definately get good customer service with. With the number of servers we have, and the importance of each one. I can say that CRNC is definately a good company .

thank you for the kind words. hopefully, rather soon we'll welcome you as a customer and you will be speaking from experience as well. we have a cage at peer1-nyc in manhattan and offer a pure peer1 connectivity product.
mod note: i was clarifying a directly referenced point.
now on to other folks:
crnc - space at telehouse, nac and nlayer transit and some nycx+nyiix peering. james is clued and a pleasure to deal with.
globix - high end managed services, good to talk to if you need a provider with a team of CxOs, suited sales droids etc. who can manage to relieve you of exceedingly substantial sums of money, to satisfy your boss. <grin>
i will omit the many folks that don't do dedicated servers but have collocation facilities in new york city, since this thread is in the dedicated servers section. the above is a good cross-section of folks doing different things for different sets of needs.
