    Using expect for rsync doesn't work..

    * ssh auto login

    why don't you use/setup ssh to login to the remote machine automatically, so it don't prompt you for password. Then you can just use cronjob to automate the rsync

    i've used the autoexpect script to do make the expectscript. Works great now.

    That is a terrible idea from a security standpoint.

    Use keychain (ssh key management util) and do it the correct way.
