    it was a problem on 1&1's end... what should have taken 24 hours, took 96 hours, and 1&1 did not check to see if it was a problem on their end when I first called at the 48 hour mark.. it wasn't til we we closer to 72 that I was able to make them check their end. The client is not happy... so, moving the site again with more downtime is out of the question... but definitely this is my first and last time to try 1&1.

    It can be done without any significant downtime AFAIK. Some of the hosts here can tell you more about that as they know how to do it first hand...
