Since ticketsmith's ticket entry is by email you should be able to use a very simple mailto form. Like Matt Wrights...

Your form should have 3 spaces

1) email address
2) subject
3) comments

have the form send to your ticketsmith email address ex. support@yoursite.com

I was thinking about this earlier today. Let me know if it works.

I was thinking alonf the same lines, although i hace created my own cgi, that does not create all the headers etc that formmail does.

My only thought on having a form make a direct entry to the database is that: if it is done from a mail based form i will get an auto resonse telling me there is a ticket, this would be ok if i was considering allowing the public to use the form.
but as i am only considering it for my own use, the email response could be a bit of a pain

Hi!
The formmail option is the best.
However, if you want you can create a simple php program that does the insert into the database directly.
That would do no harm. But then again after the tech team sends the reply we'd be back to square.... email.. which is a good thing.
Have a great day

Regards
Amar

P.S. Ticketsmith is cool.....
