Walmart : Debit MC
Walmart will no longer take your Mastercard Debit as a credit card. It makes you enter your pin and use it as an ATM so now you have to pay for the transaction fees.

I know this is old news but they just started this near us. I didn't think they would do it, but they did. I guess it's time to start going to Target.Know It All Solutions Incorporated

Well I suppose it's better than them not accepting it full stop.
Over here in the UK, most companies aren't bothered ... probably because there aren't any financial institutions inside the UK that offer MasterCard debit cards.

I never though MC fees were high ... especially compared to AMEX.

However, Wal-Mart attracts a lot of people of how can I say this.. "low budget". Those people try to use Visa instead of MC because of the interest rates, etc. To Wal-Mart, this causes them to lose money because they have to pay MC to be able to accept MC.
