    Red Hat Linux Expiring?

Is Red Hat Linux expiring? If so, when?

I heard there's another free Linux distribution.. Fedora, I think it's called... what's difference between that and Red Hat Linux? What are the steps to convert from Red Hat to Fedora?

Official support for all versions of redhat linux have stoped. FedoraLegacy.org however will be taking over updates for at least 6 months ( they currently do this on 7.2 and up ) but they are rather slow IMHO.. not sure if its going to last. You can also check out Progeny ( do a search on google or here ).

I've been very happy with Progeny's transition service for updates to my RH 7.3 boxes. I'm going to be using them for RH9 as well.

If you have a RH 9 box, it's very easy to upgrade to Fedora. There's a tutorial on the EV1Servers forum, but make sure you have backups before you attempt the upgrade.
