i have a dedicated server from server4you running redhat 7.3 and ensim pro i currently use this for my personal use and friends but i would like to offer this to clients but i was wondering about SSL how would i implement this into my server so my clients could have like an e-commerce website? do i have to purchase a license? or would my server already support this?
if i have to buy a licence where is a good place to start?
if not please could you direct me on how to set this up.
Your webserver will need to be configured to support SSL. If it was not compiled to support SSL already then you need to recompile your server software. If SSL support is already compiled in it is only a matter of adding the appropriate lines to the config. Also, you must use IP based hosts for each certificate. SSL does not work with namebased hosts.
