FortinGate firewall
Anyone have experience with them?

One of our techs had suggested this firewall when we were thinking about going with a Cisco product. After this product has been already bought, its actually been a pain in the butt and has been extremly difficult to setup and run. So Im looking for alternatives/suggestions on firewall systems. Something we could setup on roughly 40 colo machines.

Hi,
Alternative to hardware firewall, you can use software firewall too. It is also having great features .
You can also download the demo versions of it. Try with this

There are quite a good and solid firewall appliances in the market today that does a good job in filtering unwanted traffic , diagnosing malicious codes , taking proactive steps and alerting the admin of this event , blocking DDOS attacks .
Some are checkpoint FW-1 , Cisco PIX , Netscreen .
The features are almost the same with some
minute differences . The product that you choose might depend on your budget and network topolgy .
