Good topic and service for the Bay area, I love San Francisco . But I don't think you're putting your best face forward yet. Here are a couple of suggestions to get started.
1. The header message seems to be communicating you are a site focused on gaming or grunge. It also seems to be speaking to a younger audience. The header could be clearer by moving the text to the right side of the header which would balance out the page too. Or you could flip the graphic so it comes in on the right side of the header too.
2. Moving down the page the headers main color is black but this isn't carried throught to any other parts of the theme. So there is inconsistency in the theme's look/feel. Leading to a disjointed feeling.
3. There is also no visual hierarchy on the page, the header text is the same size of all the rest of the text on the page. I suggest increasing the text size for all headers and possibly captilizing all the letters.
4. The content/message - the page background could be used more effectively to define the page. For example, everything is gray now but you could use color to define and break up the space. White could be used to define the content/message area which would give definition to your left side bar navigation/message area.
