The reason is more complicated than first appears. I wish to sell my design services in Canada, i want to get the best coverage in searches and the most likely name configuration. Most people tend to assume a domain ending i.e. in the case of a company named 'mycompany' I would natuarally assume (being from Britain) to be 'mycompany.co.uk', I am assuming there is a natural end for Canadian names.
The reason i want to sell to Canada is that I am planning to emigrate their later this year, application underway, and want an income when I land and some contacts.
I cannot get my company name in .com hence another reason
Hope all that makes sense.
As to not being able to register a Canadian domain name that is a real pain but one finds ways I hope
