VHS to DVD
Hello techies. I have a bunch of VHS tapes I want to convert to DVD, and I need some advice. What is the best way to do this? I see a couple of options: 1) I could buy one of those DVD recorders that hooks right to the TV. 2) I could buy a DVD burner and do it on my computer.
The problem with the #2 option is, how do I get the video from the VHS to the computer? I assume I would need to get some kind of video input device (I know that some graphics cards have this built in, but I don't have one of those). I am assuming that the #2 option would allow me more control over creating DVD menus, etc. (I am also assuming that the DVD burner would come with appropriate software and I wouldn't have to buy it). However, these are going to be for personal use so that's not that big a deal.
Anybody have any guidance/advice?Last edited by SI-Chris; 04-28-2004 at 05:25 AM.
