Heavy influx of fraud orders from Europe?

We've gotten about 4 fraud orders from European-originating addresses, with US postal addresses, names, etc. High four-figure orders. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

    Kindest regards,

    Kris

They are most likely all from France.. you know you can't trust those Frenchies.

Seriously though, 4 fraud order attempts doesn't sound like a "flood" as long as you screen your orders right I wouldn't do anything different or be concerned.

4 in a week seems a bit high out of nowhere to me. :-)

A few things got my attention. One is the IP of the "client" came from Europe, while they posted US info such as names, addresses, CC info, etc. The phone number they gave also reversed to a US address, but not the same name or address that they used for signup. Their domains were also a bit strange, along with their email addresses. My processor also does a check against their information. Checked the whois on the domain they were emailing from, the domain they wanted to host, etc. You can just get a feeling after a while when an order is fraud or not I would say. :-)

    Kindest regards,

    Kris

We have recently had a few serious fraud issues. Most of the time it is caught by our payment processors. But still sometimes some still slip through.

We recently had a few from Europe.

Eh, bound to happen. Seems the popular method of finding out about us was "Everyone" if anyone else has had this.

We've gotten a lot from spain over the past month or so. Or rather, the IPs are from spain, whois is from somewhere else entirely (aussie, japaneese, etc) and the CC# always seems to be linked to California for some reason. The ordering IP's don't appear to be proxies.

Even had one email us from a open-relay in russia to tell us to 'hurry up the setup process' after the order. Heh...

I got something similar. They claimed they were from thailand but their internet line was from Australia. Another few fraudulent transactions came from Holland.

Well I live in the UK, and Arin traces my connection to Amsterdam lol.

Anyway, I find more fraud orders coming from Asia than anywhere else.
