I just saw a post that recommended payquake (authorize.et gateway) I looked at their site and, wow, it looks pretty good. good rates seems to be no hidden costs. Therein lies the question - many sites make it look like there are no hidden costs but somehow they seem to sneek them in. is anyone familiar with them?
I have signed up with PaySystems and before I did, I almost signed up with PayQuake.
When I almost signed up with PayQuake I learned that they did not accept payments for a full year's worth of services rendered. PaySystems does. -Note this a big factor to consider when signing up for a merchant account or payment processor.
Also PayQuake charges a yearly fee for there services and PaySystems does not, they only charge once.
It's also costly to use PayQuake if you do not have an SSL certificate and store front like software that you must have with but PaySystems provides that.
The disadvantage is that it is a very specific website with no customization allowed but hey it's free.
Another thing I noticed is that PayQuake allows phone orders when you first sign up and you have to be incorporated and in business for one year in order to do this with PaySystems.
Extra fee's also contributed to my decision making process. PayQuake charges for several cards and doesn't (to my knowledge) accept credit cards from different countries and some currencies but PaySystems does.
Here's the catch with PayQuake, they use banks that sometimes don't actually have a physical location, which can be dangerous. You can find the information on BBB.org.
Now here's the catch with PaySystem as a precaution (which is good and smart) they withdrawl and hold a certain percentage of your sales for a specific time until there is no complaint. Now the time and amount varies for each business, person and credit history.
Now for the information about PTT-Pro, all its about is sending information from your website to theirs and keeping the information you have on your website, this of course does not include credit card numbers. Very useful for this kind of work (web hosting).
Personally, I prefer Paysystems over PayQuake becuase PayQuake provides the billing & recurring billing software, allows yearly priced orders, has a great support staff and has standards that protect all merchants.
Originally posted by spencermjax does anyone have any thoughts on paysystems PTT-Pro. I am now considering it to use with WHM Autopilot.
I've just recently started using myPaysystems in conjunction with WHM AutoPilot. So far, it's running smoothly and I'm impressed with the setup in general (and I feel it's a lot more professional looking to the customer than PayPal).
