I wanted to share my experience with www.forcehost.net that i have had in the past five months or so. I have been looking on this website for quite sometime, and never got around to registring here. This is where I came accross a offer in the forums from forcehost it was a bit less than what i was paying with my previous host and would do what i wanted to use it for. Before I signed up, I read some posts on here about what to look for in a host and followed some of the steps.
I sent a email to both sales and support to test response times, and got a reply back within a half an hour or so, which was much quicker than my last home.
I then sent in a bunch of questions, asking how long have you been in business, and what not. and the answers were acceptable and I was ready to signup.
I signed up for the 4 dollar plan a couple hours later and got my account information about a hour later, i was eager to jump in and feel things out on my domain www.barwinator.com
throughout the past five months, the support has been very good my questions never got unanswered anytime or day, and also get reponses back very fast
i can only recall my website going offline once for a short time in the past five months
the speed is very good also
my only gripe is that they dont have a billing system to where i can login and see when my next payment is being withdrawn
aside from that my experience has been great and would recommend them to others
Thanks for your feedback. One of our servers had several DNS related failures today, websites were still up and online via IP. This was our largest recorded outage on this server in the past year, and customers will be refunded as per our Terms of Service.
My site on a Forcehost.net server was down on May 7th for a few hours. I tried to go to the support site and make a ticket but couldn't because that was down also. I called a toll free number, but that was only for customers to enter a code for which server was down... you couldn't talk to a live person or leave a voice message about your problem.
The problem is not so much that the site was down, but that you can't get a hold of someone to talk to while your site is down and this leaves you wondering...
please use "Email Support" if the servers are offline.
Yes, I did send email to [email protected] but, the answer I got back almost seven hours later was "Bringing backup" with no other explanation in the email. Only when I had asked for a refunded was an explanation given that there was a DNS issue. But, why should customers be kept in the dark for such a long time and unable to speak to a live person?
