I am not a designer, and have no experience whatsoever in this field. I'm usually not the one who works with the sites HTML, but I decided to give HTML a shot and maybe learn some stuff.
Here's my problem:
I sliced a design and now have the cells and everything in template form, I guess you could say. What I did, was delete a specific image so I could add text. Now, I cannot resize this cell at all. I know it has something to do with the coding, but I'm not sure what.
Someone I asked told me it has something to do with colspan / rowspan. Here is what I have now:
<!-- Begin Table -->
<TABLE BORDER="0" CELLPADDING="0" CELLSPACING="0" WIDTH="740" HEIGHT="698">
I put a border around the top two cells so you can see it better, these, and other cells, I cannot resize. Also, if I delete them, it's just an empty white spot left over. I cannot put anything in it's place.
Yes I know, this is just a test, wich shows my "skillfull design work" lol.
Now, I sort of gave up on the html, so I'm trying to rebuild the same template from scratch.... But more problems.
I want to have a small height image on the left (the recent news image), then to the left 3 plan images, plus a line image going between news and the plans. I tried to make a table (2 rows/5 collumns) but the bigger images (in height) make the table expand, and the smaller image center in the middle of the table.
I'm sorry if I'm not explaining this right, I'm just really frustrated at the moment and I need to get this done. Can we talk on AIM reyna12?
