I've been on Ghoulnet servers for several years - thankfully no longer as a business client, but they do host one of my domains.
At the time of writing, their email forwarding has been completely down for two days. This means that I have been utterly unable to recieve any email to my primary address for that time. I don't know whether it's queuing my emails or whether they are simply being destroyed.
The reason they gave was that they are 'applying security patches' to the email forwarding server. And this takes them two days plus?
Customer service has never been very good either - it takes an eternity for them to answer the phone, it usually goes into the answer machine after six rings, and email support is barely polite.
Something to keep in mind. Clook.net are far better if you want a British host (or a host anywhere for that matter).

When it became apparent that the customer service was no good, I stopped using them for new hosting tasks and moved elsewhere. But I did keep the domain that handled my personal email with them, simply because it was easier to avoid interruption to my primary email account.
I can see now that this was a mistake, as we approach three days without email.

As I said, the only problem previously had been bad CS. I only use the domain for email forwarding, so I didn't anticipate this sort of dreadful problem.
It goes without saying that as soon as everything is back up and I have (hopefully) received the last three days worth of emails, I shall be moving the domain to a host (almost certainly Clook) that doesn't treat their customers like something they scraped off the bottom of their shoe.
I've been with Ghoulnet for over three years, building up from one site to a full reseller account.
They performed fine for two and a half years but have been absolute garbage for the last 4 months (two server crashes and an intermittent mail server leading to lots of lost mail).
The Redbus problems this week are the final straw and I'm now moving everything out of them. Although the Redbus problems were not their fault, it highlighted their lack of back ups and lack of customer support (un-returned ansaphone messages, unreplied email and nothing on the site.)
It is a real shame as I've put a lot fo faith in them but they have really let it slip.
Does anyone have a phone number for Ghoulnet / gnhosting.
Customer of mine has found their site down this morning with no explanation. No reply to tickets. Found a phone number in the google cache of their site (guess they have recently removed it) of 0845 345 2412 but this does not seem to be getting answered.
Why on earth anyone hosts with a company who only provide a non-geo number a a PO box as contact details I will never understand.
