Red face

Hi all,

I was wondering if someone could tell me where I could find a host that lets me host multiple domains by only buying one package.

I currenlt have bought a reseller plan and then bought more accounts at the reseller rate.. but this is expensive since all the accounts are paid for by me and I run all the websites. 4 sites now maybe more in the future...

Is there a plan out there that would be good for me..or should I look at going with a RaQ or some other type of server instead?

-Please Help

FYI
There are different type of Reseller plans. Some host give you discount on their normal packages, some allow you to amek you own and some sell you a predetermined amoutn of hd, user space, number of sub domains, etc that can be upgraded and used to resell.

I believe that you are looking for the last kind (??). Anyway, that kind can be found at many hots or dealt with them if you want to. If they are flexible, they will make a deal with you.

A dedicated server can be nice if you are thinking of having over 20 medium usage sites or over 10 high usages ones... It will get cheaper for you that way than the reseller way. Under that, it is quite useless in my opinion.

Talking

Just look for a company that sells a package with extra sub domains, pointers and ftp accounts.

If all you want is domain pointers then you can try hostgo.com

If you want ftp accounts and all that try liquidweb.com

Cool

Hi Stranger

I'm not sure if you're still looking for a better plan.

We actually have an alliance program in which we partner up with web developers and offer them premium hosting packages at very competitive wholesale rates. We have NO setup fees whatsoever and allow our designers the option of "branding" our hosting services. Also, in spirit of the partnership, we offer to host your company's website for free.

We don't post our wholesale rates online though so feel free to call or e-mail me if you'd like any further information.

Take care,

Hayley

Stranger,
I have been researching this topic as well as many others. Unfortunately very few hosting companies offer this service since it apparently can be very costly to the hosting company. You may have to look into getting your own dedicated or co-located server. This will of course cost more money; however, you will have a lot more control and if you can afford it, then it would definately be worth it. If not, you might also look into getting a virtual server, which costs somewhere in between and allows you to host multiple domain names as well.
Below is a partial list of companies that offer multiple hosting and/or virtual server accounts. In no way can I recommend any of these companies since I do not have any personal experiences with any of them. However, they do advertise on their sites that they offer multiple domain hosting. You will just need to do a lot of research, ask for references, visit forums like this one, and always check them out on your own.
In addition, you might also try contacting any reputable hosting company and simply ask them if they would do this for you. Although most companies do not advertise this as a service, I think you will find that many can be quite flexible and willing to help you out.
Here's my list. Hope this helps.
vservers.com (owned by hostpro.com)
superb.net
dids.com
imperum.com
thinkhost.com
bluegravity.com
myonlyhost.com
<<EDIT>>
i-wiz.com
nrww.com
Can anyone think of any other companies which offer multiple domain hosting?

You can actually do this yourself by using a redirection script in place of the index.html file which maps a domain to a directory.
There are a number of them around on cgi-resources.com and elesewhere.
