We are planning on setting up a managed server website and im not sure whether to put reseller accounts on there or not.. A managed server is sometimes the net step up from a reseller so it would be a good idea from that point of view but would it make the site too complex having a lot of packages on there?
Would you concentrate on just the servers or do both?
We do manage such servers whenever our resellers grow and exceed their needs. Its more of word to mouth. We do complete server management for our resellers and it is the best way to retain clients and also keeps our large resellers happy! But we don't have a separate website though.
Here is an idea I had recently (probably not the first to have it).
A super reseller account which is a managed dedicated server but the customer only gets control panel access.
That way they can have their own resellers, have access to lots of resources etc.
At the same time we would not need to undo the damage they had done with root access

ive seen a few people doing that recently, not allowing customers root acces and we have actually been discussing it - Not sure if it would put people off even if they dont know how to use the server it may make them feel like they have less control of something they think they "own" all of
